"God love us all, so don't tell me I am wrong if I do this, you are trying to use the bible to impose your views on us" My friend commented thus on one of my facebook status updates I made about homosexuality and God. Well I have been many times accused of trying to control people using religion and that I am a self righteous hypocrite.
The truth is, God does not change no matter how many times the rules of engagement change on earth. The fact that God loved Adam and Even didn't stop Him from kicking them out of Eden. The fact that God loved Ananias and Sapphira, even after Jesus had died for them, did not keep God from killing them when they lied in Acts 5:1-10. I preach the gospel and will continue to rebuke those who err until the heavenly administration calls me back.
"For God so loved the world that He gave His only begotten Son, that whoever believes in Him should not perish but have everlasting life" John 3:16, this verse shows us that people perish regardless of God's loves for them and the only way to save them is that they decide to believe in the Son of God, Jesus Christ. If they believe in the son of God, they have to "confess that Jesus Christ is Lord" (Romans 10:9) The word "Lord" means "owner" and we give our lives to Jesus because Him being our Lord over means He owns us, as much as the "landlord" is the "land owner". 2 Corinthians 5:15 explains it better "and He died for all, that those who live should live no longer for themselves, but for Him who died for them and rose again." When we are saved or born again, we become God's personal property and we no longer live for ourselves but for Christ Jesus to whom we owe the life we now have.
As born again people we are the citizens of God's kingdom and God owns us. If so, we are then owing to love our Father. We can't just do as we please, then hide behind that God loves us all, yea, if He loves us then I'm sure He wants to love Him back, in fact, Jesus said that the first (priority) and the greatest (significant) commandment is to love God, with all heart, soul and mind (Matthew 22:37,38)
So if something is sinful it is because that thing is contrasting what God says is right and not what the clergy and the society decides to be right. If you choose to live according what people say or judge to be right, you will be living according to the flesh and Romans 8:13 promises that you will die. If you want to please God and live, do what He says it is right for you to do even if people condemn you for it. It is better to be the enemy of the people for God's sake than to be that of God for people's sake.
The soul that sins shall die and the wages of sin is death. Despite that, you decide to die through your unbelief.
