Your breakthrough is in your pain and not your death

Life is full of disappointments. Our families let us down, Our friends betray us and those with boy/girl-friends are bound to get heart-broken, sometimes everything just go wrong. All these events are overwhelming and for many of us they boil down to one solution, suicide.

In Acts 16:16-34, Paul and Silas were beaten up and then imprisoned for demonstrating God's power. They were placed in the inner prison, which signifies maximum security. Instead of sulking and cursing God and die, they started praying and singing. the bible records that the prisoners were listening. The tables were turned, there was a great earthquake and the prison doors flung open and the chains were broken off their feet. Now the jailer was in a tough position, thinking that the prisoners have escaped, he opted for self-termination. But Paul said "Do yourself no harm, for we are all here" vs 28.

Psalm 119:71 shows that we must taste pain in order to learn God's statutes and to see miracles. What you are going through is not new to this world (1 Corinthians 10:13). Your breakthrough is in your pain and not in your death.

"Wait on the Lord, be of good courage and He shall strengthen your heart. Wait, I say, on the Lord" Psalm 27:14

God is not done with you...
